Not only do volunteers lead the American Red Cross, you are the heart and hands of the Red Cross! As the needs of Central Louisiana continue to grow, we need more volunteers more engaged than ever. If you haven't found your perfect niche, the list of current volunteer openings listed below may help:
- Disaster Action Team Captains in Concordia, Grant, LaSalle, Winn, and Rapides;
- Disaster Action Team members in Allen, Avoyelles, Grant, Catahoula, Concordia, LaSalle, Vernon, Winn, Rapides;
- Support for Armed Forces Caseworkers after hours (4:30 PM to 8:30 AM), weekends (4:30 PM Fri to 8:30 AM Mon);
- Damage Assessment Teams in Allen, Avoyelles, Grant, Catahoula, Concordia, LaSalle, Vernon, Winn, Rapides;
- Ambassadors/receptionists (any weekday 8:30 to 12:30 or 12:30 to 4:30);
- Philanthropy Committee members;
- Shelter Managers in Allen, Avoyelles, Grant, Catahoula, Concordia, LaSalle, Vernon, Winn, Rapides;
- CPR/First Aid Instructors;
- Community Disaster Preparedness Trainers;
- Mass Care/Disaster Kitchen Team Members;
- Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) drivers;
- Information Technology Managers;
- Public Affairs and Information Officers;
- Disaster Staff Services Managers;
- EOC/Government Liaisons in LaSalle, Avoyelles, Vernon, Grant, Winn, Concordia, Allen
